Assessment
Psychological assessments can help to better understand an individual’s strengths and areas of need, allow for diagnosis where appropriate, and inform next steps and recommendations for success. Depending on an individual’s unique needs, the assessment process can be tailored to learn more about cognitive, academic, social, emotional and/or behavioural functioning.
Assessment services are billed at $225 per hour, with each hour of direct clinical services equating to an additional hour of indirect work (e.g., scoring, report writing).
All assessment waitlists are currently closed for external referrals (child, adolescent, and adult).

More specific areas for assessment may include: neurodevelopmental disorders (e.g., attentional disorders, learning disabilities, autism spectrum disorders), behavioural challenges (e.g., aggression), intellectual abilities (e.g., intellectual developmental disorder, giftedness), mental health (e.g., anxiety, depression), trauma, and social concerns. Through the assessment process, information is gathered via several methods including interviews, standardized activities, rating scales, and observations. Following completion of an assessment, results are reviewed with individuals, their caregivers and others in the community as requested through feedback meetings and a comprehensive report.
There may also be circumstances where assessment services are available at a reduced rate for those in need. The majority of the assessment-related services will occur in person. An individualized estimate for assessment fees will be provided to you and will vary based on the type of assessment and information needed. Typically, assessments will range in cost from $2900 to $5000.
